Casa Terremoto was born from my nickname 'Terremoto' (earthquake) As a kid it was used to call me 'too much, too loud.' I’ve reclaimed it as a house of power.Casa Terremoto is a space for us, for BIPOC communities, for femmes, queers, and gender-expansive kin and Fierce Allies, for those of us who carry stories in our bones and want somewhere to shake, root, and reimagine together.It’s about healing beyond systems that grind us down, embodiment that lets us reclaim our bodies as sacred and powerful and creative work led by Us. Not filtered through white spiritual/wellness culture.That might look like:
- workshops and circles where movement, dance, and ritual meet
- Gatherings where BIPOC aren’t ‘included’ they’re the root, the chisme, the pulse
- community spaces that honour both ancestral practices and new ways of being togetherIt’s about disruption that makes way for growth, and grounding that reminds us we’ve always had medicine in our bodies and communities.🧿 Casa Terremoto exists on unceded Aboriginal land. Always was, always will be. We honour the Gadigal and Dharug peoples. Their survival, their sovereignty, and their ongoing cultural and spiritual connection to this land.💋 We affirm sex workers as keepers of sacred wisdom, boundaries, and embodied knowing. We hold sex work as a practice of resilience, creativity, and sacred care.🫀 This isn’t a brand or a wellness aesthetic. It’s a commitment to BIPOC-led care, creativity, and connection.
